Flat to choppy. Shallow for about 100m. Kitesurfer are not allowed to kite in the surf area. Grassy area, no beach. Kitesurfers have to enter the water via stairs. Lots of trees downwind. Best in SW and W. Other directions are gusty. At the Bodensee suddenly storms can hit. Therefore a storm warning system has been created, using orange flashing lights, and ships put up a balloon on the mast. Look out for these signals to avoid getting into problems. Nice in summer, cold in winter. Wetsuit almost all year-round. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
