Perfectly flat water, no tide. A great spot to improve and practice. The water is not clear all year in the bay. The first meters along this bay are shallow. It can get crowded with more than 15 kiters at one time. Nice white and soft sandy beach with plenty of space, no rocks, few shells, plenty of space to launch and land kites. About 2km long beach. Since it is a bay you still can go a bit downwind and won't need rescue. The best zone of the beach is the Northern zone, because there aren't swimmers or boats. But you can kitesurf in the whole beach as long as you are careful with the rest of the people. Constant trade winds blowing usually from midday on over flat land, an old salt works, into the 2km long bay. This makes for a unique offshore wind situation. Normally, offshore wind means very smooth water and gusty wind but in this case the wind it is incredibly stable, which makes it one of the best places in the world for kiteboarding. Best time for kiting here: February until the middle of June. Typical kite sizes for 176lbs/80kg: 16m 20%, 14m 30%, 12m 25%, 10m 25%. Windy most of the year. All year round 28-32°C air and 25-28°C water temperatures. No wetsuit necessary but due to the reflection of the very white sand good sun protection is highly recommended. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Rooms, Camping, School, Shop, Rental, Rescue, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
