One of Durbans only locations that you have the best of both worlds: flat water on one side and waves on the other. The location is about 20 min north from the city center. This is generally a beginners area, space is limited. The beach is a nice soft sandy beach with loads of space to rig, launch and land kites. There is also a grass area that most people use to inflate and deflate kites. This also makes it a nice view point for all spectators. Predominant winds are Northeasterly and Southwesterly. This spot can be used in both directions. Average winds are between 10 kts and 25 kts. The water is extremely warm in summer, no wetsuits required. In winter the water can get a bit colder and a short wetsuit is required. The lagoon can be kited the whole way through the year. Water: Flat, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
