Barnegat Bay is a shallow body of clean water with most areas waist deep. Very small sandy beach. (100ft.L x 25ft.W) Must be courteous to windsurfers and swimmers. Bayview Park is for advanced riders ONLY, due to power lines less then 100 ft away, parking lot, tennis courts, cars and buildings less then 50 ft. away. Also 4 lane highway 100 ft. away). No room for error. Riders must be completely self-sufficient. Famous New Jersey warm southerly thermal winds blow on average 2-3 times per weeks in May, June and July. Best wind directions are SW (strong thermals), SE, S (very good), W (very choppy and gusty), NW, N and strong NE. From April/May to end of November you will see favorable conditions. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Shop, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
