Can be very nice waves up to 2m. During the first Poniente days mainly flat water. With several strong Poniente days and high tide, a lagoon is created, about 1.5 km long and up to 200m wide. Excellent for a downwinder to Tarifa (Playa Chica). Many kitesurfers during summer. Big, sandy beach. Lots of space, but during summer many kite instructions on the beach. Levante is offshore, gusty and strong between 15-30 knots normally but some days 40 knots. Then only experienced windsurfers should go out. Poniente (West wind) is perfect for kitesurfing with 8-20 knots. Air in winter 20°C, in summer between 25 and 35°C. Water between 18°C in winter and 23°C in summer. Winter long wetsuit, summer shorty or shorts, rest of the year shorty. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: School, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
