The water is great! Clear for the most part, and no floaters to hit. On really windy days (almost always) nice white caps. Wave range from 1-4 feet. All in all a great place to learn and for those interested in being 10 feet off the water all day...this is your spot! The only draw back is that there's no sand, just small gravel/pebbles. Lots of grassy area just of the beach to practice flying your trainer kite. There's also over night camping available. Because it located so close to the Rocky Mountains it is always being fed a westerly wind. Careful, it can get really gusty at times. On average the winds blow anywhere from 30-50 km/h, gusting at times to 80+ km/h. Summertime is always hot! One can get away with riding in only shorts, or bikinis for the ladies. Air temp. averages around 25-35°C. Water: Chop, Smallwave. Features: Camping, Shower, Toilet, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
