It is around 1 km wide. There is very little sand. Lots of little shells. There is great space of launching in the shallow water. Actually it is a huge bay. All year wind rates perfect. Sometimes 6-7 Bft. Mostly 5 Bft. Changing from year to year. Main wind direction April to November: North. Main wind direction November to April: South. Usually in summer lighter before noon (4-5 Bft) increasing in the afternoon to 5-6 Bft. Winds: summer: Meltemi or Poyraz (NW), Gerence (NE), spring and fall: Lodos (S). No wetsuit is necessary during June, July and August. Between May and October it is nearly 20-22°C. Season can go into end of October. Off season surfing is possible. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop.
