Shallow and depending on the tide the water can be waist deep for hundreds of yards. It's a beautiful grass park with a nice sandy beach. The predominant wind direction is South to Southeast. North will also work but is a little harder to predict. Watch out for winds that are too easterly as the winds can be gusty and you may have to head aways offshore to get clean wind. If it's too easterly head across the bay to March's Point. Unfortunately it's a better sailing spot than kiting due to the the small rocky launch. 4/3 wetsuit late spring, shorty to board shorts in late June through July and August. Water temp 50°F late spring to upper 60's°F in August (tide will effect this more than in Gorge). Air temps 50's to 70°F in spring and 70's to 90's°F in summer. Water: Shallow, Flat. Features: Camping, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
