Choppy with tidal currents. Shallow, 5-10 feet deep. Brackish water. Muddy bottom. This is a small dirty beach next to the freeway. The beach is tiny so your aim has to be good. The only other landing option is rocks. Surrounding the beach is a 10 foot rock wall several miles long. Launching is very difficult at high tide. Self-launching and self-landing often required. Thermal wind directly onshore (West). No other direction is rideable. You must be able to immediately ride upwind to avoid the rocks. The water is never warm, 55-65°F. A 3mm wetsuit is needed all summer. Spring is unsettled (rain, sun, storm, 40-70°F). Summer is cool, foggy, and breezy (55-70°F). Fall is warm, dry, and calm (50-70°F). Winter is unsettled (rain, sun, storm, 35-60°F). Water: Chop. Features: Parking, None. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
