Flat water, white capping in winds above 20mph. The beach here is huge for an inland lake. It runs SW to NE. The south end of the beach ends at the dam and the north end leads to open water. Usually the wind comes from the south or southwest. Although rare, the northeast wind is the cleanest air, coming from the open water. Either way, it seems unusually steady here for an inland lake, and is usually ridable from 12 knots up. Note: avoid going too far south on the beach in southerly winds, as the dam tends to chop up the wind a bit making it hard to get going. Summer winds are usually light but there are some ridable days. By far the best is spring and fall. The weather here can vary. During winter full wetsuit recommended. Water: Flat, Chop. Features: Rescue, Toilet. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
