East Beach has a designated kite surfing area. A very safe area to kitesurf in 2ft of water. Tidal beach. On a low tide a lagoon remains but requires a long walk to reach it. Friendly safe location. Designated beach, a few shingles then miles of sand at low tide. Works well on anything except NW, although at low tide you can still go out too the lagoons. Wind can be anything with depressions coming through. Summer lighter winds, best in spring and autumn. Nice in summer. Autumn to spring a wetsuit is needed. Very cold in winter, but possible. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Rooms, School, Rescue, Toilet, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
