Flat water on the inside, esp. low tide, and up to 7 foot waves on the outer sandbar 1/3rd of a mile offshore. Theres no surfing on Crandon but if we get a swell. Nice soft sand, beach is 10-15m wide, but just bushes behind the beach. There is enough space to land/launch set up. Just a 150m hike from the parking to the beach. On the summer time we will be going on 16 meter kites and in the season (October to June) from 9 to 16 meters depending on the wind. On season (October to June) wind will be ranging from 10-15-25 knts North or Northeast which is sideshore (it gets stronger with a cold front), South winds are always good too. The wind cycles runs for 4-6 days. Miami air: 18-32°C, water: 24-29°C in season. Bring a wetsuit for cold days, but only a few days is it necessary. Season is October to April. From October to February the water temperature will go from 79-60°F if we get a cold front, so bring a wetsuit if you get cold on this kind of weather, also bring diving shoes to protect your feet from stingrays or sea urchins. From March to June the water will be at 75-80°F so a wetsuit is not necessary. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Smallwave. Features: School, Shower, Toilet, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
