South to SW wind unreal conditions butter flat water on the inside, and able to touch the shore as your riding on the inside, rollers on the outside all in waist deep water. It does get crowded even with a hike in. Maple Bay Natural area, sandbars and sandy areas to rig. Best winds in autumn to spring. Light winds in summer. Any strength possible. Not a very good place to ride on a South wind. It needs to be SW or at the least SSW. On a South the wind is very turbulent coming off the land. Warm in summer, no wetsuit needed. Otherwise wetsuit needed. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Smallwave. Features: Shop, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
