Long Beach Island / The Danks

Waist deep, clean water. Awesome flat water riding. The beach launch is at Haven Beach Yacht Club. Launch and head out directly West into the bay. There are two islands situated directly out, these are The Danks. Tons of wind here. Winter: NE and W. Spring: NE, W, S, SE. Summer: S, SW. Fall: NE, W, SW. Bring a 9, 13, and 17 (or around these sizes) and you will be riding 5 days/week. Winter: air 20-40°F, water28-40°F. Spring: air 40-70°F, water 40-60°F. Summer: air 60-85°F, water 70-80°F. Fall: air 40-70°F, water 45-65°F. So basically you need a fullsuit in spring and fall. Board shorts in summer. Thick wetsuit, booties, gloves, and hood needed in winter (dangerous). Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Shop, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
