Small to medium waves. The surf is sailable year round, but is best from April through August, early mornings or late afternoons. Beware of strong currents. Keep distance from the channel outlet and mole. Long sandy beach, but not very wide. Concrete to the north, better ride south of the access. Cars on the beach. Average wind speed of 15-17 mph. This condition prevails all summer. This beach is close to the Mexican border. Warm and windy. The mean annual water temperature is approximately 71°F. Winters are typically mild, summers are hot, but cooled by the sea breeze. January, the coldest month of the year, has a mean temperature of 55°F. July and August are the hottest months with mean temperatures between 85-86°F. Water: Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
