The jetty separates the spot into the inside and outside. The inside is the part at the channel. Here you have butter flat water in a NW and wind. The outside has butter flat water in NE and E winds. Look out for boat traffic and currents in the channel. Small waves on the outside, which can get nice with a NE wind. Lots of shallow areas around th jetty, which can dry on low tide. Big sandy beach. Many beach goers during summer. Any wind with North works excellent here. Best winds during summer, SE winds about 80% of the time. September is the best month with good winds, no tourists and warm water. No wetsuit required July and August. Shorty required June and September. Full wetsuit required May and October. Drysuit required November to April. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Smallwave. Features: Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
