Choppy flat to choppy water, soft beach break. About 2 mile from shore you can get some waves on a reef. Be careful with sea life around like sea turtles, manatee. Clean, sandy beach with waves depending on swell direction. Lots of space, but be aware of sunbathers and swimmers, specially during weekends. Beginners need to go with assistance, and follow the rules. Best wind December to September, trade winds, wind 15-25 knots. Blows East to West. Wind is about 50% even in season. The windy season starts from December and tapers off in May. Winds are somewhat unpredictable and inconsistent in the 10-25+ knots range between September and mid November, rain and the peak of the Hurricane season during this period. The North Atlantic high generates the trade winds that blow during late spring and summer at a steady 15-20 knots. Warm and sunny weather year round. Tropical marine, mild. Little seasonal temperature variation. Water temp 79°F, air 85°F. No wetsuit needed. The northeast is typically humid with frequent showers. Water: Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave, Bigwave.
