The rolling wind swell culminates in chest-high small period waves that break over the reefs and beach. If there are high waves but marginal wind you might have a hard time getting off the beach. You need to be powered to get past the breaking waves. Lots of rocks in front of the hotel. There is a rocky point with a hotel on it. To the north and south of that point are miles of sandy NE facing beach. After big storms there can be a large amount of driftwood that piles up on the beach that can be a problem for launching and landing. The `El Norte` wind is sideonshore. The Hotel point can create a wind shadow to the south for the first few hundred meters of the beach. Water 68-75°F, air 70-90°F. Water: Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Rooms, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
