Three sandbars, 75% of the time small to moderate chop until you pass the tidal breakers. Swells in the late winter produce overhead shore break sets. Super clean white sand beach. Locals take good care of trash, shells, etc. Kiters and windsurfer should do as well. During low tide there is ample room to launch, the spot itself could easily hold 20-30 kiters at low tide. Solid kite conditions 50% of the time. SW 50% of the time, all other directions work pretty well with any East in them. South and North are also fine. Predominant flow is SW. Clean kiting conditions are found first with a NE flow, then a SE. On average 7-10 knots in the summer and 12-16 knots early spring and late fall. Low wind conditions for the most part. Wetsuit or drysuit year round. Summer months rash guard, shorties no problem if the waters warm up. Water temps hover around 65°F from late June to late August. Drysuits are the norm for late winter and late fall. Water: Shallow, Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Shop, Food. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
