Swan River / Pelican Point

Flat water on a river. Shallow access. Small grassed launch area. 6 days out of 7 have 15-25 knot sea breeze during summer season. Best on Southwest sea breeze. Summer is the best time to kite in Perth. Summer starts in December and finishes in March. During the summer Perth gets the infamous 'Fremantle Doctor', 'the most consistent wind in the world, making it ideal kitesurfing conditions. It's just like clockwork, coming in between noon and 3pm. Giving you somewhere between 15-25 knots (average) a day. You maybe able to get some days in during the winter time, however with strong, gusty, and squally winds. Warm weather and water during November to March. Rash shirt needed to keep sun off. The weather ranges from hot in summer (42°C) to mildly cold (4°C) in winter, which implies that we enjoy terrific weather almost all year round! Water: Shallow, Flat.
