Flat water with any wind. Tides make a big difference. Do not kite near the pier and keep a watch for exposed sand bars and rock jetties. Sandy beach with lots of space at low tide. Can be small on high tide. But uncrowded, rarely anyone around. The wind blows here at least 3-4 days during the week. The wind averages from 10-15. Sometimes it blows 15-20+. Watch out for West winds, they can be gusty and change rapidly. Best in NW, W and WSW. This place is a perfect place to ride on a West wind. It is a bit gusty but is one of the few east coast places to ride on a West wind. The summer months the water can reach 80°F. In the winter it gets down to 50°F. The kiting season here is year round. Wetsuits are necessary from November to April. Water: Shallow, Flat. Features: Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
