How to read spot hazards
Shallow reefs, currents, obstacles — what hazard notes mean and how to use them.
Community-sourced hazards
Hazard fields on KitesurfGo are written by local kiters and moderators. They describe rocks, sandbars, traffic, downwind obstacles, and other risks weather apps do not show.
Combine with conditions
Hazards often depend on tide and wind direction. A sandbar exposed at low tide may be invisible at high tide — cross-check the tide chart on the same spot page.
When conditions change
If you see something new on the water, suggest an edit after your session. Accurate hazard notes help everyone stay safe.
