Flat and choppy water with some waves up to 1m, but run quiet long. Very flat water in NW winds. Sandy beach. At medium to high tide this beach is quite small and frequented by windsurfers, so kiters be careful. At low tide the spit between the island and Bigbury allows you to launch either side, depending on wind direction, but it does get very busy in the summer and unless you know how to handle a kite, avoid kiting here when it is busy. Low tide - mid tide: avoid two hours either side of high tide because beach is either too small or non-existent. Good in NW winds and on E, SE. Typical UK conditions. Wetsuit all year needed, summer maybe without. Water: Chop. Features: Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
