Blokhus Strand

This beach is out to the North Sea. Usually you get really good wind here and very nice waves. But if the wind increases over 10 m/s the waves become very unsystematic and other (nearby) places are more appropriate. Big and wide with white soft sand. It is possible to drive with your car on the beach. Good westerly winds with depressions. Best winds from fall to spring. Sideshore: NNE and SSW. Usual temps. are the Danish standard, meaning up to 30°C in summer, and down to under 0°C in winter. But the water never freezes over. Can be surfed usually from (depending on gear) March to at least October. A wetsuit is almost always needed. Water is never warmer than 21 °C. Water: Chop, Mediumwave. Features: Rescue, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
