Lake Michigan varies. Smaller waves, but sometimes on the calm side. Sand, then small shells, then pebbles, then stones. Might break fins off your board. Often blowing from offshore Southwest towards onshore Northeast. To the south the beach curves making N and S sideshore. Wetsuit in spring and fall. Good for winter when frozen. Water: Shallow, Chop, Smallwave. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
