There are two options at this spot. With the winds out of the NNE you can kite outside of the sand spit with side on winds. It's flat water but no butter. To get the butter you want to kite inside the spit. The winds there will be sideoff but blowing towards the mainland. So if you can't stay up wind you will end up in town at Quiermos. Be prepared for a sketchy landing as the power lines run right on the beach. The beach is a large sand spit with plenty of room. Getting to the spit you will need a 4x4 and watch the tides. Best season is November to April, when El Norte blows. Good western winds too (better for kitesurfing). Best season is November to April. Wetsuit is usually required. Water: Flat, Chop. Features: Rooms, Camping, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
