Flat to choppy water. On low tide you can have a big shallow area. Water clarity is poor. Also seaweed tends to clog up the lines. Long, but narrow sandy beach. I was also not pleased with how much broken glass was on the beach. Horseshoe cove at Sandy Hook bay is much nicer (they also have showers). Best winds in spring and fall. Nice and warm during summer. Fall and spring needs a long wetsuit, during winter a thick wetsuit. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Toilet, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
