Flat to choppy water at the shallow sandbars a few hundred yards off the beach. Otherwise small waves, which can get very nice during stronger winds. Watch out for the stone crab buoys, your lines can get tangled in it. Big, sandy beach with lots of space. Many launches along the island. Best in any Westerly. The coastline curves a bit, so NW can also be sideshore. Usually just shorts. A couple of cold weeks in the winter, but very warm compared to anywhere not tropical. Then a shorty should be fine. Water: Shallow, Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Rooms. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
