The only place in the keys that gets any waves. Even then they are very small. Nice sand bar, shallow soft bottom. Excellent sandy beach. Once in park go to the very north end parking lot, then walk down the beach farther east (the beach faces south) to stay out of the marked swim area (yellow buoys). Consistent easterly winds from fall to spring. Summer very light wind. Great on ENE to E winds. North or NE is offshore. Shorts from spring to autumn. Shorty with cold fronts during winter needed. Water: Shallow, Smallwave. Features: Camping, Shower, Toilet, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
