Northerly swells bring in good chop to the mouth of Tomales Bay. The beach launch can have a nasty break to it. Playground for those who like their waves. Sharky water. This is one of the few private beaches left on the California coast. Good open stretch for launch. Winds lightest in the summer, often dead. Winter weather provides some of the most reliable wind in the area. Winds between 10-30, tending to the high end. You can expect temps from the 50's-70's°F in summer. Area holds the fog, so you can have fog throughout the summer. Definite need for 3-2 mm or 4-3 mm wetsuit. Water: Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Shop, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
