Eckernfoerde Suedstrand

Nice waves with stronger East winds. Normally flat to choppy. Complete swimming zone during season. Long bridge to the North. Wide sandy beach with grass areas. Lots of space outside the season. Packed with beach goers on summer days. Can be any force with depressions (mainly Westerlies). Summer lighter winds, but with Easterlies can be stronger in summer due to thermal effects. Works only E and NE winds. Other directions are very gusty. Summer is nice and warm. High season a short is ok, a few weeks with just shorts is possible. Usually a wetsuit is always needed. Water max 22°C in summer, normally around 15°C. Winter gets cold, but a thick wetsuit, gloves, mask and shoes make kiting almost year-round possible. Air: summer between 20-30°C, spring and fall around 15°C. Water: Flat, Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Rescue, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
