Kuredu Island

Super flat in the lagoon and chop outside, lagoon is protected by a 300m long jetty and the wind is normally coming 90 degrees to the jetty. Perfect flat water riding area. White sandy wide beaches, no shells or rocks. Good launching areas. Kiteable around the whole island but best on the south side. The best winds are from December to end of February. The wind will mainly blow from the East and is very consistent and smooth with no gusts. January is the strongest month with 20-35 knots daily. Beware of March, a month with no wind normally. The rest of the year varying winds from 5-25 knots, normally when the wind is up, it is up for the whole day with not much changes. Since it is an island this spot works for all directions and it is always possible to find sideshore winds. Generally great weather all year. Air temperature 32°C and water 27-28°C. Shorts is all you need but maybe a rash guard is good as sun protection. The best time to go is December to March, mainly sunny and very consistent winds. Maldives have no rainy season but stormy weather when the moonsoon changes from NE to SW. This normally occurs in May when heavy rain storms passes through.
