Crystal clear water. Very popular surfing spot - give way to surfers. Flat and shallow in the lagoon. Long spit leading to an island at the end of a river mouth. Long open beaches either side of the spit which means you can always find an offshore spot to ride. The wind is usually a bit stronger than in Sydney. Works in many directions. Usually nice, does get pretty stormy occasionally. Cold in winter, perfect in summer. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Camping, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
