Lopez Angostura Artificial Lake

Sweet water spot. Since it is a lake you will find flat to choppy waters. No real beach. The best access for kiters is on a small island in the middle of the lake. You need a boat to get there. Can be used in all wind directions. The Dom. Rep. has warm water, and warm air, all year round. No wetsuit is necessary, although sun protection like lycra is always good. Mid September to mid December: great rain season. Water: Flat, Chop. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
