In normal weather conditions, the characteristic thermal breeze known as the Embat, a Southwesterly wind which starts to pick up around midday, has an average strength of 15 to 20 knots and spreads across the bay until sunset. Under the usual marina breeze conditions in the Bay of Palma, tides are non-existent and surface currents are constant, rarely exceeding 6cm/s. Nice during summer, just shorts.
