Flat to choppy water. Strong current. Tidal spot, but works all the time. Good about 2hrs after high tide then the access is much easier since some sand shows up. Great in W and NW wind after high tide and in NE before high tide. Kitesurfers always downwind of the windsurfers. No real beach, just a dyke and a grassy area. Do not launch between the beach chairs. Either go 500m to the left where no beach chairs are around or wait until about 2 hrs after high tide and launch from the sand that the lower tide provides, otherwise you have to walk over stones. Launching from the dyke is not recommended for beginners. Winds depend on depressions. Best winds in autumn to spring. Any strength possible. Wind feels stronger about 300m from shore, but that's due to the current. Good in W, NW, N, NE and E. A wetsuit is necessary nearly all over the year. The water is between 5-20°C (spring to summer), air temperature is in the average 18°C (in summer) and can go up to 30°C. If you have the adequate wetsuit you can surf from April to November. Off-season is possible but very cold. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Camping, Rescue, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
