At the northern end of Whitehaven Beach is the gateway Hill, a beautiful entrance, where the tide moves the sand and water to create a fusion of attractive colors. Many people claim Hill inlet and Whitehaven Beach are the most beautiful places you have never seen. From December to June the predominant winds are E, SE to S. The pick of this period is March to June with good reliable winds. The wind regularly reaches 25 knts. Climate conditions: Summer temperatures are warm to hot, with some rain fall. Winter temperatures are superb with little rain. Water temperatures range between 23-27°C. Don't forget your sunscreen! The Australian sun burns. A rash vest with UV protection is a good idea for hours on the water. Water: Shallow, Flat. Features: None. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
