Inside the lagoon you can kiteboard with every tide. The lower the tide the less choppy and flatter the water will be. With higher tides you can start the best from the beach between the Hard Rock Hotel and the Discovery Shopping Mall. Access to this beach is from the Kuta Art markets. This beach is very wide, with lots of room for launching and landing your kite. The raining season brings a lots of garbage and drift wood on this beach though. Best months are between December and March. The wind in this season is not very predictable. Mostly rain fronts bring in wind. Best kite sizes will be between 16 and 10 sqm. Always keep an eye open to sudden weather changes which can bring unpredictable wind! Further south the bay curves making SW and NE sideshore. Tropical weather like you can expect. No need of a wetsuit, lots of sunscreen lotion will do. Water: Mediumwave. Features: Rooms, Shop, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
