Flat to choppy water. Shallow area in a channel at high tide. Outside waves. Big, sandy beach. Can get very packed in summer with tourists closer to the promenade. This save spot will work with every wind direction. Strong winds come from SW or NW with depressions. Best winds from fall to spring, summer lighter. East wind gusty due to buildings. For kitesurfing we recommend a wetsuit with long arms, surfing you can try with shorty on some days in the hottest months of the year. But better to use a steamer. In spring and autumn start well dressed with 5/4 mm wetsuit. All year riding possible, but winter gets very cold. In summer the temperature of the water is 19-20°C.
