Perfect for freestyle and wave since there is a sort of real shore break and various levels of water depth. There is a kind of lagoon created when water partly flooded the beach. Look out for some big stones in the water. The lagoon can change it shapes, depending on sand movements. One can walk to the beach on a wooden path on through the dunes. The best sand quality on the island. And the most beautiful Danish beach in 2006 chosen by Danes themselves. Be careful of swimmers! Depending on the wind direction one can move a bit on the corner of the island, but the wind will still mostly be side, sideon or onshore. When the wind comes more from East you should kite in Balka, and when more Northwest in Jomfrugaard, because it is quite gusty on Dueodde then. Mostly crowded during high season and when the sun is shining. Water temperature 4°C in winter, spring and fall up to 22°C in late summer like August. A 3/3 wetsuit is needed.
