Cabanas de Tavira

When the tide is low, Lacem has almost no water, so you should prefer going to the Cabanas Island (you can cross the channel by foot). If the tide is up, Lacem it's a great place to try out new things. The only problem is some vegetation that comes with the rivers that can sometimes hurt your feet. If you want you can go to the ocean directly on the board. If you like waves, would prefer the ocean (but the waves are not so often). There's not so much space in Lacem, but once you get in the water, it all changes. At the side of the Island you have all the space you could want. No concrete in either cases. Getting there is not easy. SW: mainly from March till October with 12-16 knots. E or SE: the rest of the year with 10-14 knots. From March until October we have the SW wind that is great because it's very reliable (usually from 12-16 knots). The rest of the year we can also get E or SE wind. Sideshore: ENE and WSW. Nice weather almost all year around. You can ride any time of the year. The water is at least 20°C most of the year in Lacem and a bit colder on the island. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Rooms, Shop, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
