Dian Shan Lake / Old Propeller Plane

Sweet water lake, full with little sticks, no tide, usually a bit choppy. Small grassy patch, but good enough for easy launch, nothing for beginners, mistakes usually end in the trees. The water edge is made of concrete, at water level, then gets 1,6m deep right away. Northwesterly is prevailing during wintertime. Best direction is North to West, usually only during wintertime, the only place so far for NW winds around Shanghai. Northwesterly is prevailing during wintertime, hence the water is usually chilly. Best in November when the water still has 10-13°C and the air is a little colder. Wetsuit is suggested to prevent injury at the numerous little sticks and abandoned fishing nets. Water: Chop.
