Fonte da Telha

Atlantic ocean. During the winter is one of the only places where you can kite/windsurf because the SW `storm` waves are soften by the sea bottom. Waves are perfect specially if the sea is higher than 2m. Typical west Atlantic coast beach. White sand, clean beach, huge (10km). Enough space for everything. During summer stay off the crowded area. Only one road to the Fonte da Telha village. During the summer, less than at Nova Vaga (to the 5km north) and than Lago Albufeira (7km south). Only go out in sideshore and sideonshore winds. No other wind directions allowed (cliff in the back). North is the best direction. Water cold, air temp hot during summer 25-35°C, cold during winter 10-20°C. Summer season is from May to mid-September. Water: Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Beginner, Intermediate, Expert.
