Lake Champlain / Sandbar State Park

Gradual sloping, shallow, sandy bottom. Tight launch area with trees and cement retaining wall and large rocks, no beach. Need to negotiate rocky shore area during launch/land. Usual respect and consideration for other kiters in the launch area and near shore. North winds are steadier and produce cleaner waves. Northwest waves are tighter and choppy and NW winds are gusty and unreliable. The lake freezes during winter. Water: Shallow, Chop, Smallwave. Features: Toilet, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
