Lake Pontchartrain / Sandbar

Flat to choppy water. Shallow for about 400 yards. 200 yards long sand bar at the river mouth of the Tchfuncte River in the very north of the lake. Many boaters during warm weekends, then don't launch kites. Frontal winds. Works with many directions, even with North wind. Hot and humid in the summer. Wetsuit in the winter time when cold air from the fronts blow through. Water temps varies with the seasons. Very warm in the summer and cools off to wetsuit temperatures in winter.
