Lake Taupo / Waitetoko Beach

Take the first driveway to the west of Waitetoko Rd, it looks like a private driveway but actually opens up to a large grass area perfect for self launching and landing. Self landing is made easy by dropping your kite into the wind shadow behind the houses. W is the best sideshore wind with NW being ok but is almost onshore.
