Manzanita

Waves vary from flat to huge depending on the groundswell. Sandy wide open beach. Soft sand and lots of space. NW wind is the cleanest. Anything with East will be gusty. Can be very windy here 25+. Smaller kites for Manzanita as it usually blows 10mph stronger than the rest of the coast. NW winds accelerate at Cape Neahkahnie north of Manzanita, offering solid and often very windy conditions from Manzanita down to Nehalem Bay State Park. Season from spring thru fall. Always need a full wetsuit 5/3mm or so. Air temps from 50-70°F. Water in the 50's°F all year round. Water: Smallwave, Mediumwave, Bigwave. Features: Rooms, Shop, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
