Norderney / Weisse Duene

Nice waves with stronger winds (NW and W), up to 4-5m high. Due to the sand bar closer to the beach excellent waves break. Watch out for the current. Beautiful beach with soft sand and lots of space. Best winds in fall to spring. Can be any force with depressions (mainly Westerlies). Summer lighter winds. Best wind directions: E, W, WNW, ENE. Summer is nice and warm. High season a short is ok, a few weeks with just shorts is possible. Usually a wetsuit is always needed. Water max 22°C in summer, normally around 15°C. Winter gets cold, but a thick wetsuit, gloves, mask and shoes make kiting almost year-round possible. Air: summer between 20-30°C, spring and fall around 15°C. Water: Mediumwave, Bigwave. Features: Rescue, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
