Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area

Super clean. Waves outside and flat on the inside. Nice sandy beach. Gentle Slope. Plenty of land to launch kites. Must enter/exit through one of the park entrances. You need to pay to drive onto the beach. All goodies are located outside of the park. There are no services on the beach. NW wind is the normal direction. Very onshore and consistent everyday from March through June: 15-25 kts. The rest of the year is 10-25 kts depending on the weather. Best direction is when wind is out of Northwest. Foggy mornings, great afternoons. Wetsuit almost all year needed. Water: Flat, Smallwave, Mediumwave. Features: Camping, Shop, Shower, Toilet, Food, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
