This location offers a large shallow area to ride in. Some parts of it does have rocky bottoms and a lot of horseshoe crabs, so bring along a pair of shoes. Sandy beach. It has a place with a large grassy field to set your kite up in. Winds blowing from the West are dead onshore here. You can safely ride this spot in any wind direction that doesn't involve winds from the east. Take some time to get acquainted with this spot. If the winds are out of the North or NW, be cautious about riding beyond the rock jetty at the tip of the park. If you are beyond that tip and crash or lose your kite, there is no place for you or it to go but on out into the bay. Usually just shorts. A couple of cold weeks in the winter, but very warm compared to anywhere not tropical. Then a shorty should be fine. Water: Shallow, Flat, Chop. Features: Rescue, Parking. Rider ability: Intermediate, Expert.
